Patrick Crowther

Patrick is a chartered surveyor who worked in his family business, Crowther & Co, until its merger with Overton-Hart. His experience ranges from Canary Wharf and the Jubilee Line Extension to many smaller commercial properties, schools and housing. Since 2003 he has been an assessor for the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), as well as advising and mentoring APC candidates working towards chartered status. He is a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club which promotes excellence in party wall practice, and is currently Vice-Chairman of the Sussex branch.

Patrick specialises in commercial property matters, and is also involved in residential work, conservation and the day-to-day running of the company.

In his spare time Patrick watches and occasionally plays sport including rugby, football, golf and cricket.
Bob Overton-Hart
Director

BSc FRICS, MCIOB, MCIArb, RMaPS

Bob has been a chartered building surveyor for over 32 years. As well as being a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors he is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a qualified Construction Design and Management (CDM) Coordinator.

Bob is a regular chairman of panels for the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), the assessment process which junior surveyors undertake in order to achieve chartered status.

Bob's experience covers all aspects of building surveying and he specialises in conservation and defects analysis.

In his spare time Bob is involved with his local church and likes to keep fit, enjoying cycling and walking.
Crowther Overton-Hart came into being in June 2010 through the merger of Crowther & Co with Overton-Hart Chartered Building Surveyors. Our team is headed by Patrick Crowther and Bob Overton-Hart, who between them have over 35 years' experience at director level. Mark Davies
Senior Chartered Surveyor

MRICS

Mark qualified as a chartered building surveyor in 1982 and has had a varied career encompassing private practice, self-employment and a brief spell as a university lecturer in Thailand. As a result, he is able to deal with a diverse portfolio of surveying work.

Mark is our main point of contact for a number of portfolio clients and managing agents, as well as acting for individual clients.

When not working, Mark has an interest in art and enjoys exploring hidden corners in Sussex.
Mungo Stenning
Chartered Building Surveyor

BSc (Hons) MRICS

Mungo started his career as a management consultant, and retrained as a surveyor at the University of Brighton. In 2006, having gained a First Class degree, Mungo joined our team, and completed the RICS APC to become a chartered building surveyor.

Mungo is experienced in working on many different building types, especially industrial units, residential blocks under management and domestic properties. His particular strengths are project management, specification, dilapidations, party wall work and grant-funded disability adaptations.

In his free time Mungo enjoys capoeira, skiing and other sports. He also enjoys films, reading and is something of a foodie.
Cathy Haines
Assistant Building Surveyor

BA (Hons) MScSurv

Cathy started working in the construction industry direct from university in 2003. Since then she has completed an interior design course and subsequently decided to train as a building surveyor. She successfully completed a Masters degree in Building Surveying in 2010 and is now enrolled on the RICS' Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

Cathy's role includes design work, planning and building regulations applications, contract administration, schedules of condition and specifications and schedules of work on residential, educational, commercial and industrial projects. She has also attended the RICS/SPAB Conservation Summer School with a view to developing her knowledge in the conservation area.

Cathy helps lead the youth group at her local church, and also enjoys travelling, photography and visiting European cities.
